For iPhone
Drag three pieces at a time onto an 8×8 grid. Fill a row or a column and it clears. The run ends when nothing in your tray fits.
Pieces do not rotate. The tray refills only once all three are used, so each round is a small planning problem rather than a reflex test.
Clear on consecutive placements to build a combo multiplier. Rows and columns both count, and a placement that completes one of each clears both.
Every tray is checked before you are dealt it to make sure it can actually be played. A run never ends because the game handed you a piece with nowhere to go.
Questions, bugs, or feedback: hello@groundedtechco.com. If you are reporting a problem, include your device model and iOS version.
Scores are stored on your device only. Deleting the app removes them, and they do not sync between devices.
A run is saved when you leave the app and offered back as “Continue” on the home screen. Starting a new game in the same mode discards it.
The daily board is tied to the UTC date and resets at midnight UTC, which may not be midnight where you are.
Leaderboards need Game Center. If you declined the Game Center sign-in, the button does not appear and nothing else changes.
Tap pause during a game, or use the toggle at the bottom of the home screen. Gridlock has no sound, by design — haptics are the only feedback.
